In the eworx Marketing Suite, you can define newsletter types depending on your email marketing strategy. This makes it possible to customise your communication measures even better to the needs of your subscribers.
Consider the newsletter types already in the registration form and in the unsubscribe process and give your subscribers the choice.

Why does it make sense to offer different newsletter types?

With different newsletter types you optimise the unsubscription and registration process. Improve your unsubscribe process and avoid losing newsletter subscribers by giving them the choice of which of your newsletters they want to continue receiving.

The subscriber can unsubscribe from each of the different newsletter types separately and still remain with you for other newsletter types.

What are the possible uses of newsletter types?

• Newsletter types by function: Maintenance information, event invitations, monthly newsletter
• Newsletter types by topic: Hiking holiday, city trip, extreme holiday
• Newsletter types by frequency: weekly, monthly, quarterly

Where do I create the different newsletter types in the eworx Marketing Suite?

Create a new subscriber field: Under “Subscribers/ Subscriber fields”, define a new multiselection field that contains all possible newsletter types.

Can I deactivate the selection of different newsletter types individually for each campaign?

By default, the unsubscription of different newsletter types is inactive. This client setting is located in the Administration / System settings module (you can find the administration in your user area) and can be activated by users with administrator rights. If the function is activated, you can select the previously created multiselection field via the drop-down menu. In the unsubscribe dialogue, the subscriber will only see the newsletter types for which they are currently subscribed.

NOTE: If the system field “Opt-In” is set to “No” for a subscriber, this means that they will not receive any of the newsletter types.

Click on “Excluded from delivery” in the subscriber group step when creating the campaign. Under “subscribers with different newsletter type” you will find those subscribers who are then excluded from the mailing.

Where do I select the respective newsletter type for a campaign?

When you create a new eworx Marketing Suite email campaign, select the subscriber group as usual. You can now also restrict the newsletter types in the drop-down menu. An intersection is then created. This means that the newsletter will only be sent to those subscribers who fulfil both conditions.

Are newsletter types also taken into account in reports & statistics?

The eworx Markteing Suite final report for your email campaigns automatically compares campaigns of the same newsletter type. The unsubscribe statistics also take the types into account in the overview. In the options for the individual newsletter types, the subscribers who have unsubscribed from the corresponding newsletter type are listed. The first name, surname, email and time are also displayed here.

Is it possible to integrate the selection of newsletter types during the registration process?

Of course you can already take the newsletter types into account in the registration form on your website. Simply add the multiselection field.
