[EN] Update-Info

Overview of the most important customer-effective updates

June2026

General

Display of checkbox lists

Checkbox lists are now displayed as rectangular rather than round, since the round style is reserved for radio buttons, which allow only a single selection.

Example: Email Campaign Overview – Filter by “Status”

WhatsApp

WhatsApp Double Opt-In Process

The Click-to-Chat message is now located further down the page. This makes the QR code and the chat link more visible to the user.

Additionally, when setting up the “Double Opt-In Message,” you can now choose between the “Opt-In Method” options “Text Message” and “Template”. When setting up a double opt-in process, a new WhatsApp template can be created and linked without having to switch to another section. The entire setup process can now be completed in a single step and activated immediately after approval by Meta.

Trigger WhatsApp Double Opt-In via Form

For forms, the “Action” tab now includes an option to automatically start the WhatsApp confirmation process when the form is submitted, ensuring that new contacts are added in compliance with legal requirements.

_Prerequisites: _

  • In the “WhatsApp Double-Opt-In Process,” ‘Template’ is selected as the “Opt-In Method” for the “Double-Opt-In Message”
  • An approved WhatsApp template is on file
  • The “WhatsApp Double-Opt-In Process” has been activated with this configuration

Once a form triggers the “WhatsApp Double-Opt-In Process,” it cannot be switched back to the “Text” opt-in method.

This feature is particularly well-suited for newsletter sign-up forms on your website. By using a form for WhatsApp newsletter sign-ups, you can immediately collect additional data such as the user’s name or email address.

This provides an additional channel for strategically expanding your WhatsApp subscriber list.

KPI Chart and Statistics Overview

When you access the WhatsApp statistics, the most important KPIs from the past year are now displayed in the overview at the top of the page.

Next to this is a chart that groups the KPIs by month, campaign, or template.

Eventsource name in All Detail Lists

The Eventsource name of the trigger for an event-based WhatsApp message is now listed in all detail lists of the template statistics to ensure better traceability.

Alt text placeholder in template editor preview

For better clarity, the alt text of the placeholder is now always displayed in the editor preview instead of the internal name.

May 2026

Tooltips for Icons on Overview Pages

Icons on overview pages (e.g., manual and event-dependent campaigns) now have tooltips.

This makes it easy to see at a glance whether a campaign is manual or event-driven, for example.

Business Scoped User ID (BSUID)

Starting June 1, 2026, WhatsApp users will be able to choose to display only their WhatsApp username - rather than their phone number - when communicating with businesses. In this case, their phone number will no longer be transmitted; instead, a so-called Business Scoped User ID (BSUID) will be stored.

The BSUID is generated individually for each business portfolio and may look like this, for example: AT.4215646651991224

Contacts collected in the future via a Click-to-Chat double opt-in who have enabled this feature will be stored with their BSUID and WhatsApp profile name. In this case, the phone number will no longer be transmitted to or stored by the business.

Existing phone numbers as well as phone numbers from other sources (e.g., CRM systems or manual imports) can continue to be used as usual.

WhatsApp Form Field Personalization

Form fields can now also be used as personalization elements in WhatsApp templates - similar to the existing email personalization feature.

A new “Form Fieldstab is available in the placeholder dialog for this purpose. If appropriate form field placeholders are used in a WhatsApp template, the values entered in the form are automatically inserted into the message.

If no value is available for a form field, the configured alternative text is automatically inserted.

WhatsApp Template Categories

With WhatsApp templates, you can now choose between the “Marketing” and “Administrationtemplate categories.

You can also choose between the template categoriesMarketing” and “Utility.”

Marketing templates are used to send your subscribers offers, product news, or other promotional content. They can be used both for WhatsApp newsletters and for event - based mailings.

Administrative templates are used when a message is triggered by an action or request from the subscriber. They must not contain any promotional content or persuasive wording.

The template category can be adjusted by Meta (e.g., from “Utility” to “Marketing”). This is enforced very strictly, especially if the content contains promotional elements (e.g., phrases such as “Find more information here”).

You can find instructions on how to create WhatsApp templates here.

WhatsApp When Submitting the Form

For forms, you can now set up a WhatsApp template (marketing or administrative template) to be sent when the form is submitted. The WhatsApp message is sent to the recipient as soon as they submit the form.

For more information, click here.

WhatsApp Quick Reply Button

When creating WhatsApp messages, you can now add up to three quick reply buttons. If the subscriber clicks on this button in the WhatsApp message, the reply defined in the eworx Marketing Suite is automatically sent as a message. Furthermore, clicks on the buttons can be analyzed via the WhatsApp Statistics under “Reactions”.

The buttons are easy to configure and are displayed correctly both in the preview and in the final message.

The ticket is automatically displayed in the language set in the Wallet app or on the device.

Landing Pages – Links in Body Text

Links on landing pages can now be easily edited: Simply click on a link in the editor to edit or remove it.

March 2026

Dependent display of the accompanying person field

With this update, the visibility of the accompanying person field can now be controlled depending on other fields. This allows you to first use a yes/no field to ask whether an accompanying person will be brought to the event.

If “Yes” is selected here, the desired fields for entering the accompanying person's data can then be displayed. If “No” is selected, these fields remain hidden.

Further information on creating an event form can be found here.

New statistics overview page for WhatsApp newsletters

A new overview page for WhatsApp newsletters is now available in WhatsApp statistics. All WhatsApp newsletters sent are clearly listed there.

At a glance, you can see important key figures such as the time of send, the number of subscribers to whom the newsletter was sent, and how many messages were delivered, opened, and read. In addition, it shows how many subscribers reacted to the newsletter.

Each newsletter can also be analyzed in detail to view further information and statistics.

Further information on WhatsApp statistics can be found here.

WhatsApp openings in statistics

WhatsApp statistics now also record and evaluate WhatsApp message openings. A distinction is made between “openings” and “no opening”.

An opening is counted when a message has been opened by the subscriber and this is confirmed by a WhatsApp read subscriber or a reaction to the message.

No opens” refers to messages for which there is no confirmed opening. In these cases, it cannot be clearly determined whether the recipient has opened the message – however, it is possible that the message has still been read.

Further information on WhatsApp statistics can be found here.

WhatsApp Message Limits

WhatsApp message limits are now displayed per WhatsApp account and no longer per phone number.

This gives you a clearer and more concise overview of the current sending limits, as these generally apply to the entire WhatsApp account. The display has been adjusted accordingly so that the limits are now visible directly at the account level.

Februray 2026

New calendar plugin

In eMS, the campaign statistics provide you with a detailed overview of the success of each individual campaign. Click on the “Select campaign” button to open the calendar and select the desired campaign.

The calendar has been visually modernized and adapted to the current design. The functionality remains unchanged - you can still select your campaigns as usual.

Event categories

From now on, categories can be created for events and stored directly with the respective event. This allows events to be structured thematically and organized clearly.

The assigned categories are visible both in the dashboard and on the event overview page. In addition, it is now possible to filter the overview page by category. This allows you to find relevant events even faster and keep track of them even when there are a large number of events.

Further information about the events can be found here.

WhatsApp unsubscriptions statistics

From now on, unsubscriptions related to WhatsApp messages will be shown directly in the statistics. The tile contains the following information:

  • How many subscribers unsubscribed immediately after receiving the newsletter
  • How many subscribers unsubscribed more than 2 hours after receiving the newsletter
  • How many subscribers unsubscribed more than 24 hours after receiving the newsletter
  • Average unsubscribe rate for the last 12 months

If another message is sent via our system between the newsletter dispatch and the unsubscription, the unsubscription is no longer assigned to the original newsletter.

The detailed list can be filtered by unsubscription periods and also exported as a static subscriber group.

Required field validation for form actions

If a “campaign when submitting the form” or an “email double opt-in” (email actions) is stored for a form, the system automatically checks whether the “email” field is included as a required field. If this is not the case, a corresponding warning is displayed.

The same applies to SMS actions: Here, the system checks whether the phone number is defined as a required field.

January 2026

More transparency for newsletter types: change now visible

Subscribers have already been able to subscribe and unsubscribe to different types of newsletters. A detailed description can be found here.

What is new is that the respective subscriber is now also shown when a change was last made to a newsletter type.

This enhancement makes it easier to track subscriptions and unsubscriptions, supports clear documentation of changes, and contributes to greater transparency in subscriber management - especially with regard to data protection and internal traceability.

Multi account address search: sent email campaigns

The Multi account address search in the eworx Marketing Suite already allows you to centrally find and export subscriber information across multiple clients. A detailed description can be found here.

From now on, all email campaigns sent to a subscriber can also be exported across clients. This provides a complete overview of email communication with subscribers across all clients.

WhatsApp newsletter: better overview of WhatsApp account

In the “WhatsApp Account” section, all settings will be displayed expanded by default in the future. This means that all relevant information is visible at a glance, making it easier to keep track of everything. Furthermore, you can now also see which subdomain is stored here.

WhatsApp Newsletter: Custom Subdomain

To ensure that link clicks and similar tracking functions work correctly, all links in your WhatsApp messages are forwarded via our content delivery network. This is necessary so that click statistics can be recorded. This means that the links in your campaigns are forwarded via the domain https://wa.marketingsuite.info by default.

To enable your subscribers to recognize your organization at first glance when they see the links, you can now define a custom subdomain in the eworx Marketing Suite. This means that the URL you have chosen will be displayed instead of wa.marketingsuite.info.

If no custom subdomain is configured, a note or warning will be displayed in future to draw attention to this new option and ensure optimal use.

WhatsApp profile name

The WhatsApp profile name is now available as a filter in dynamic subscriber groups. The subscriber field can now also be displayed in the subscriber overviews.

Revised action tab for forms: greater flexibility when sending and exporting

The “Action” tab in forms has been completely redesigned and now offers advanced options for campaign distribution and recipient data export.

Email and SMS campaigns can now be triggered simultaneously via a form. This allows multiple communication channels to be used in parallel and campaigns to be implemented more efficiently.

In addition, subscriber export has been restructured. This is now only possible via the form statistics. During export, all relevant fields are automatically preselected – both subscriber fields and form fields. If necessary, additional subscriber fields can be added for export, even if they were not used directly in the form.

These adjustments ensure a clearer structure, greater ease of use, and simplified further processing of the form data.

Further information on the forms can be found here.

WhatsApp Newsletter: Buttons

The process of adding and editing buttons in WhatsApp newsletter templates has been revised. Editing and adding call-to-action buttons now works via LinkPopup.

A detailed description of the Text Editor can be found here.

Re-registration via keyword

It is now possible to re-register subscribers who have previously unsubscribed from the WhatsApp newsletter. If a subscriber sends the defined registration keyword, the registration is automatically re-executed and the subscriber can be sent messages.

Further information on WhatsApp Double opt-in process can be found here.

Videos in WhatsApp newsletters

You now have the option of using videos in mp4 format as header media in your WhatsApp templates, in addition to images.

Simply upload your desired video directly to the header area of the template - the integration is just as easy as with images.

November 2025

two-stage change data form

It is now possible to activate a two-stage change data form process. This allows subscribers to change their email address for future mailings using a form.

After the change, a confirmation email is triggered, which contains a link of the link type “Data change confirmation”. To do this, you can now activate the function in the forms in the “Use” tab.

Setting in the form

Add link to email campaign

Subscriber Group for WhatsApp subscribers

As soon as consent for WhatsApp newsletters has been given in the eworx Marketing Suite, the system group “Active WhatsApp subscribers” is automatically created. This makes it easier to get started with sending WhatsApp newsletters.

Criteria in the dynamic subscriber group

WhatsApp profile name in statistics

From now on, WhatsApp statistics will display the WhatsApp profile name instead of the first and last names.

The profile name corresponds exactly to the name that the subscriber uses in WhatsApp. This is particularly helpful for identifying subscribers when new subscribers subscribe to the WhatsApp newsletter and their first and last names have not yet been stored.

Send options

The send options - send time optimization, A/B split test, and iRated - are now grouped together in a separate section. There, you can choose between standard sending, A/B split testing, and send time optimization.

All three variants also offer the iRated option. Activate this option to automatically optimize the order of the sections in your newsletter based on previous subscribers behavior, thereby increasing the click rate. Please note that your newsletter content should be suitable for flexible arrangement. Find out what iRated is and how you can activate it here.

The A/B split test allows you to compare two email variants to determine the more successful version based on the measured open or click-through rates. For more information, see our whitepaper.

If a sender or subject line has already been stored, it will be used when performing the A/B split test (depending on which variant - subject line or sender - is used). The sender or subject line can then no longer be set further up.

Sending time optimization analyzes the individual opening and clicking behavior of each subscriber to determine the optimal sending time and thus maximize the response rate of your campaign. Further information can be found here.

You can select the time to send as usual in the “Send” section.

October 2025

In addition, it is now possible to use a handheld scanner during check-in – enabling even faster and more convenient subscriber registration.

New API Method for Submitting Forms

A new API method is now available that allows forms to be submitted directly via the interface. All form configurations are taken into account, and all associated actions are executed accordingly. Furthermore, all validations are performed just as with a standard form submission.

If the form is linked to an event, submitting it will also trigger the event registration.

For more information, click here.

New user right for double opt-in automation

A new feature is now available that allows double opt-in campaigns to be replaced in active standard double opt-in automation without having to copy the associated automation. This makes managing these campaigns much easier and more efficient, especially when it comes to minor adjustments or updates.

Further information on eliminating duplicates can be found here.

Text Editor Adjustment
